Day 6




Weight-322
I am really tired I didn't get a very good night sleep last night. I woke up around two and didn't fall back a sleep until around 5. So I didn't make to the gym on time which normally wouldn't be a problem but I wanted to fit most of my meals in before the Jays game. I missed meal 5 but what are you going to do.
Some of my friends are starting to find out that I am doing this contest and asking me about it. I guess its not to hard for them to figure out when I am drinking water at the bar. My friend Bill wants to go 12 weeks with me in our own little contest for a $100 dollars he is going to start on Monday. We are going to take before and after pictures and have some of our buddies girlfriends judge who has the best transformation which adds a little more motivation for me. I think Bill is hoping it will get him to the gym more often so thats good too.
Overall a pretty productive first week, went to the gym everyday and only missed one meal. I ended up loosing 8lbs this week which puts me ahead of the game for my 20 goal for the month. 1 week down 11 to go. Tomorrow is my freeday which means probably eggs in the morning, but Jimmy Johns for lunch and Peanut butter chicken for dinner mmmmm.... what could be better?I was planning on still eating pretty healthy on my day off but I am going to see how it works for me taking a true day off.

Day 5

Well day 5 is almost over and I am feeling pretty good about my progress. The intensity of my workout today was pretty good my biggest weakness is probably pull ups I could only knockout 7 but it will come with time. On the bright side though my curls went really really well. They were definitely burning when I got done.
Eating doesn't seem to be to much of an issue yet I will say that planning my meals out the night before does keep me in check. Tomorrow I will get up early and get on the ol' Stair Master I need to get up early enough to get through my meals before the Creigthon game at 9. I think I am going to go read and call it a night.

Day 4

So today went pretty well at the gym. I definitely got more out of the stair master then I did on the elliptical. Anytime you feel like quitting half way through a workout you must be doing something right. I came home after my workout and ate breakfast then packed my lunch watched some TV and headed to work. Work was pretty slow again today but I ended up doing alright. I came home and found out that luckily my Myoplex had shown up in the mail, I was running pretty low. Well tomorrow I will get up early and do my lifting. So I will see how well that goes on an empty stomach.

Day 3

Ok, so day 3 was a Pretty good day. So far eating is going well the only problem is preparing all the food, I can't be lazy, which is probably a good thing. Work went by pretty quickly even though it was slow. I went home a little early which was nice. Had my Myoplex shake, speaking of which I haven't received my shipment of Myoplex it was supposed to be here today. Hopefully it will make it tomorrow.
The gym was a pretty frustrating experience for me today. I was working on doing a "straight leg" dead lift with Jon for my hamstrings, and just could not get the form right. So I ended up doing leg curls. I am going to have to just keep practicing my form at home hopefully I can get it down. While I was at the gym I got my body fat tested it was 35%. Which puts my lean body weight (0%) at 212. My goal is to get to around 10% body fat in three months. Which is probably a lofty goal, but that's what I am going with. I plan on making up for today's sub par workout tomorrow morning with a hard cardio day on ye olde StairMaster.

Day 2

Today's post is going to be short and sweet. I woke up this morning around 5:30 got to the gym to do cardio around 6 had a pretty good work out. I think from now on I will be using the stair master instead of the elliptical machine I just can't push myself as hard on the elliptical. I was trying to go pretty hard and didn't break a sweat. I'm not bragging by any means I am just saying I get a better workout on the stairs.
As for eating I got all six meals in not in the order I planned but they got eaten and I feel pretty good about it. Its like a second job to eat 6 meals a day.
Just got back from the Creighton game, they won which makes me happy. I even had to turn down the smoke pit tonight. Between Smoke Pit and Alvarado's I believe they are my two biggest weakness.

Day 1

Day one of the contest, and I am pretty excited. I listed my workout and meal plan so I don't have to type them out I think you should be able to just double click them and they will enlarge. I felt like all I did today was eat. every two hours or so. I can tell that it is already speeding up my metabolism an hour and a half after I ate each time I was hungry again. I tied to put some space in between my 4th and 5th meal. So when I worked out hopefully I was getting my energy off of stored fat rather then my last meal.


Tomorrow is going to be a challenge I am going to get up early and do my cardio in the morning before work. There is a Creighton game at 7pm so I am going to have to work my food schedule around that. I don't think Corn dogs and beer are apart of the plan. I didn't have time to get my fat percentage tested today but Jon did take my before pictures so I will post those. I plan on posting new pictures every two weeks or so for sure each month.







GOALS FOR THE 12 WEEKS

1. Finish all 12 weeks.

2. Eat well 6 times per day.

3. Train hard.

4. Get more rest.

5. Journal my successes as well as failures honestly

GOALS FOR THE FIRST 4 WEEKS

1. Gain 5 pounds of muscle mass

2. Loose 20lbs of fat.
