Day 62

Weight- 300lbs
I got up fairly early this morning and decided to run on the treadmill. I didn't do the normal BFL hit cardio because I didn't know if I could make it 20 minutes so I kind of felt things out. I started out at 4.5mph then 12 mins in I bumped it up to 5.5mph and slowly moved up each minute maxing out at 8.1mph for the final minute. I ended running 1.5 miles and my knees aren't at all sore. I felt really good after that workout, in fact that is the best I have ever felt after running. lol The rest of the day I spent cleaning and took in an afternoon movie (Blades of Glory). It was pretty good not Will Farrell's best work but pretty funny none the less.

Day 61

Weight- 299lbs

I slept in today which was great for some added rest. I won't tell you how late I slept because its almost embarrassing. The funny thing is I thought with as much time between my last meal and when I woke up I would have a tough time making it through my workout without being overly hungry. I wasn't really that hungry after my workout kind of odd. I went and did my work out this morning first time doing this 4 weeks arm workout. I was really happy with it because I hit 10's on 3 of my exercises normally the first time I do a routine I am lucky to get the weights right on one exercise. The rest of the day was pretty lazy I did some house work and watched TV, tomorrow I will have a lot to do. I will have to get with Jon if he is not working tomorrow and take some pictures to post, Jon if your reading let me know.

Day 60

Weight 299lbs
Today is the day I have been waiting for for a long time. I finally dropped out of the 300 pound club! I haven't been able to take pictures yet but hope to in the next couple days. I think that I have made alot of changes in the last four weeks. Day 60 only 24 days left for this 12 week challenge, I am really excited about the changes I have made and for the ones I am going to make in the next 3 1/2 weeks.

Day 59

Weight-303lbs
Eating went well today I am really like eating 5 meals and drinking one Myoplex. It makes things a lot easier because I can double the some of the recipes and eat on it all week. Jon created my new workout and man was the leg workout challenging. I started off with one legged squats. The reason he is having me work each leg separate when possible is so my left leg can't over compensate for my right. I thought logically I would just take the weight that I do with two legs and cut it in half. I didn't take in to account I can't cut my body weight in half. Half way through I figured out how to do the squats as effectively as possible. When working my left leg I would start my right leg off at a 90 degree angle as it would be if I were sitting in a chair. So when i squatted down, my right leg would touch the floor once I got down in the squatting position. I would use the off leg to help start the motion upwards almost like a spotter while still keeping majority of the weight on the leg I was working. I also did my leg extensions and curls one leg at a time which seemed to really work them out well. Can't wait for the new arm workout on Friday!

Day 58

Weight-304lbs
My chest and shoulders are sore from yesterdays workout which is good. Since I purchased the EFL book I have been cutting back to one Myoplex a day and eating an extra "real food" meal. I have noticed that I have been hungrier sooner so I think I will keep up with that for a couple of weeks and see how it works. My workout today was pretty good I used the incline treadmill. It has been awhile since I have done that and I think I need to start kicking it up a notch. I think I will either start jogging or using the stair mill.
After work I headed to Bellevue to finish up my paperwork for financial aid, classes start on the 25th and I am really getting excited I can not wait to finish college!

Day 57

Weight 307lbs

Today was all about getting back on track with a renewed focus on my workouts and journaling. I ate really well today and have begun to integrate some EFL recipes to spice things up a bit. The EFL egg casserole will really help me save time because I can make one pan last for 4 mornings so it takes a lot of evening prep workout of the equation for me. My workout was the best so far. I really focused on slowing down my reps especially on the negative end. I hit 10's on all 5 of my workouts for the first time ever. What a way to start the week! I am very excited for the last 4 weeks and seeing the final results. Right now I am definitely in a grove as far as eating and working out it is really starting to become habit.

Day 56 (freeday)

Weight-300lbs

Man am I sore from the leg workout that my borther and I did the other day! Today I ate pretty well for the first couple meals and went out and jogged to make up for the cardio session I missed Wednesday. I have always read about past BFL Chamions seeing good gains in their 8th week. I didn't think I would see many results this week because I have been in a little plateau period the last couple weeks but this week have seen some pretty good gains and am excited to take some pictures soon to compare. The last couple days I have noticed I look alot thinner in the chest and around my mid section.

It was really funny today my parents went on a trip to Washington so my brother his wife and I celebrated Easter at my Grandparents house. Every year even though I am 26 and my brother is 22 my mom still makes up Easter baskets for us. So Grandma played the part of the "Easter bunny" today. When we arrived at her house she handed us our Easter baskets from our parents. All that was in it was some pink plastic grass. I knew something was up, when I lifted up the grass underneith was a bag of baby carrots and lettuce, we all had a pretty good laugh. Now I am back in Omaha and really pumped to finish up the last 4 weeks of my first 12 weeks. I am consistantly averaging just over a half pound of scale weight lost every single day, 3.75lbs a week. That really keeps me motivated at first if I would plataeu for a week I would loose my mind. Off to bed looking forward to the start of a new week!
