Day 58

Weight-304lbs
My chest and shoulders are sore from yesterdays workout which is good. Since I purchased the EFL book I have been cutting back to one Myoplex a day and eating an extra "real food" meal. I have noticed that I have been hungrier sooner so I think I will keep up with that for a couple of weeks and see how it works. My workout today was pretty good I used the incline treadmill. It has been awhile since I have done that and I think I need to start kicking it up a notch. I think I will either start jogging or using the stair mill.
After work I headed to Bellevue to finish up my paperwork for financial aid, classes start on the 25th and I am really getting excited I can not wait to finish college!

Day 57

Weight 307lbs

Today was all about getting back on track with a renewed focus on my workouts and journaling. I ate really well today and have begun to integrate some EFL recipes to spice things up a bit. The EFL egg casserole will really help me save time because I can make one pan last for 4 mornings so it takes a lot of evening prep workout of the equation for me. My workout was the best so far. I really focused on slowing down my reps especially on the negative end. I hit 10's on all 5 of my workouts for the first time ever. What a way to start the week! I am very excited for the last 4 weeks and seeing the final results. Right now I am definitely in a grove as far as eating and working out it is really starting to become habit.

Day 56 (freeday)

Weight-300lbs

Man am I sore from the leg workout that my borther and I did the other day! Today I ate pretty well for the first couple meals and went out and jogged to make up for the cardio session I missed Wednesday. I have always read about past BFL Chamions seeing good gains in their 8th week. I didn't think I would see many results this week because I have been in a little plateau period the last couple weeks but this week have seen some pretty good gains and am excited to take some pictures soon to compare. The last couple days I have noticed I look alot thinner in the chest and around my mid section.

It was really funny today my parents went on a trip to Washington so my brother his wife and I celebrated Easter at my Grandparents house. Every year even though I am 26 and my brother is 22 my mom still makes up Easter baskets for us. So Grandma played the part of the "Easter bunny" today. When we arrived at her house she handed us our Easter baskets from our parents. All that was in it was some pink plastic grass. I knew something was up, when I lifted up the grass underneith was a bag of baby carrots and lettuce, we all had a pretty good laugh. Now I am back in Omaha and really pumped to finish up the last 4 weeks of my first 12 weeks. I am consistantly averaging just over a half pound of scale weight lost every single day, 3.75lbs a week. That really keeps me motivated at first if I would plataeu for a week I would loose my mind. Off to bed looking forward to the start of a new week!

Day 55

Today I did my leg workout with my brother at our old highschool, its great to have some one to workout with it makes my workouts go much better. We killed each others abs, each of us came up with a couple creative ab workouts a couple of them include medicine balls. It really made it more fun than work but I will definately be sore tomorrow. We came home and ate breakfast then went back out to the barn and worked on tearing more of it down. I would say we have 3/4 of the outside boards off now its pretty much just a skeleton. After spending most of my time at a desk for the last 5 years it's nice to come home and put in a good hard days work or two every once in awhile.

My brother watched body of work with me and it sounds like eventually he will make the switch over to BFL. Right now he is doing a diet that was created by a guy in Omaha (Tony Dean). He was on Good Morning America the end of last year and they were challenged to have 100 Omahan's loose 2500lbs this year and then they will do a follow up story. So he has made a commitment to do this diet. The diet pretty much consists of eating what every you want as long as your under X ammount of calories, and doing cardio 3 times a week. I saw some of the before and after pictures on their website and they are impressive some people have lost a lot of weight doing their program, but thats just it they lost weight and all end up really skinny with no muscle tone. I think his goal is to get his weight down and then build himself from there.

Day 54

Weight- 304

Today was cold but good. I hit the gravel this morning since I am back on the farm. It was "nice" last weekend when I ran outside but today was very cold I persevered which is good. I spent most of my day working on tearing down an old horse barn that we no longer use. We made pretty good progress but have alot of work to do tomorrow. I went in to my Grandma and Grandpa's house today for lunch she made some baked fish and a salad separate for me which was nice. I had to have half of one of her cornbread muffins though, carbs, ha ha ha. I watched Just watched body of work this evening and it really has me re-energised! I am almost done with the second 4 weeks of this challenge and staring down the home stretch. I need to really regain focus and make every day count, and I will!

Day 53

Weight 307lbs

I went to the gym in the morning and had a good arm workout. I went to work and ate pretty well. After work I came back home to my parents house. I was hungry when I came home but didn't feel like eating a meal, I searched the fridge, and grabbed an orange, there was all sorts of stuff I could have grabbed that I don't keep around my apt. but I grabbed the orange with out thinking about it. That is great, eating has become second nature for me. That is the good news. Bad news is after watching Body for life success stories DVD I realized I have been just going through the motions. My journaling is completely out of whack, I keep telling myself I don't have time, when the truth is I do have time I just choose to do other things like watch TV or whatever. So this weekend I am really reflecting on my issues and what I can do to improve them for my final 4 weeks of the challenge

Day 52

I wasn't feeling all that well so I didn't go into work but I did push myself through cardio. The plan was I was going to do cardio in the morning before work, and and my arm work out that night. That evening I was pretty drained and knew if I did my arm workout I wouldn't get much out of it so I decided to push it over to Thursday and push all my workouts back one day meaning I will do my last workout on Sunday.
