Day 76

Weight 294lbs

I was really tired this morning when I got up and could not mentally keep myself into my cardio. I ran a mile in about 10 minutes and then I gave up mentally. I talked myself into incline walking the rest of the way. I played paintball tonight which made up for the exercise a little and tomorrow on my free day we have our first softball game of the year, I can't wait. Eating went well today, now I better get some sleep.

Day 75

Weight- 294

Today was a very busy day and I am proud to say that I got all of my meals in plus a 7th! I woke up this morning and went to the dermatologist, not that anyone cares to know but I have been having a dry skin problem just on the inside of my ears. He prescribed some salve and I headed home. I got home ate a couple of meals and then went to the bookstore in Bellevue to get a book for my class. I purchased the book online unfortunately the guy I bought it from on Ebay wasn't getting back to me to let me know when he shipped it and I needed to get some homework done for my class on Wednesday. I decided I would just have to get another one and sell one of them on Ebay because I can't fall behind. When I got back I grabbed my mail there was a note saying I had a package in the office. It was my book. How ironic is that? If I would have just procrastinated like I usually do I wouldn't have had to make the trip to get the other book. So I called the bookstore and asked them if I could return it. They said I could but would have to do it today. So I drove back to Bellevue and returned it before the store closed. What a waste! I drove 80 miles for a book that I didn't need. When I got back the second time I drank a Myoplex and threw some laundry in the wash then got ready to work out. Before I went to the gym I threw my stuff in the dryer and went on my merry way. The gym was great today, it started off with a bang. I upped all of my weights because everything felt pretty light on Monday. I started off with Decline bench. After I got done with my third set 8 at 175lbs I realized I needed to bump the next set of 6 at 185 up some because I just wasn't feeling it. I debated and then decided to take a really big jump up to 225. I found some one to spot me and knocked it out with no help. My spotter said man you probably had two left in you. I though yeah I did. I was just so surprised that I quit right after 6. Then after that I though I can't go down to 160 for my next set so I put on 185. Found the guy who spotted me again and pumped up 12 with just a little struggle on that set. That was the most excited I have ever been to not hit a 10 on a workout ever. For my last upper body workout of the challenge I am going to go 155,185,225,250, and then super set. If I can do that even with help I will be really happy! This last week has been great for my upper body I am seeing gains like no other. After I got done at the gym I came home folded some laundry ate and then got ready to go out. One of my friends was in town from Florida for a wedding. So I met her and all of my other friends down town it was a really good time. Especially since I had a water drinking buddy, thanks Jon. We got bored at the bar we were at and walked up the street to another bar to have a water. Never thought I would ever go bar hopping for water lol. Then I drove home ate another small meal and that brings us to the present, time for bed.

Day 74

Weight-293lbs

This morning I got up and went to the gym I had to fight through the first few minutes of my 2 mile run but it got easier once I mentally committed. It was a really good workout. I came home finished packing my food and headed to work. Work was a little busier today which always makes things better. Tomorrow is going to be really busy for me so my day off will be less like a day off and more like a work day.

Day 73

Weight- 295lbs

Today was a long day but I feel good that I made a good transition merging my workouts with my class. I went and did my leg work out this morning around 6:45 came home got ready and headed to work. My boss let me go home early because it was slow which gave me some time to go home before class. I think I am going to really like this program. There is a lot of reading and writing assignments, but no tests. I also am very excited that my professor is not a traditional professor. He was a marketing manager at a bank and then owned his own firm for awhile so I think we will receive a lot of good real world info. He told us basically if you show up to class, participate, and turn your assignments in on time you will do well. So those are my goals for this program makes it pretty easy for me. As far as week 11 goes for BFL I am excited that I am at the same weight I was last Saturday, that usually means weight loss the last few days of the week. I think it would be really cool if I could get down to 290 by Saturday of week 12 that would put me at 40lbs of scale weight loss. Either way I am happy with my results and excited to continue on with this lifestyle.

DAY 72

Weight- 297

Eating went well today and so did my workout other than that it was a pretty uneventful day. I am really tired from my run and don't feel much like doing anything but hitting the sack. After these runs I feel almost like I used to after football practice but not quite, so I know I have more left in me. I remember comming home after practice and not feel like eating I would just lay down on the couch because every ounce of energy was tapped.

Tomorrow I go to my first class at Bellevue so I am excited about that, and also know it will be a great challenge for me. The class work is one thing, but remaining focused on my workouts and eating will be a challenge. My priorities have changed. Number one is school this is really my last chance at graduating so it needs to be number one. Two is keeping up with my BFL lifestyle which I will it will just take planning, and another change in lifestyle.

Day 71

Weight- 299lbs

Today was filled with many challenges and everything went pretty smoothly. I didn't have to work today because someone at work wanted to switch schedules around with me so I will have to work Saturday for him. So with the day off I decided to go turkey hunting. I woke up at 3:48 one minute before my alarm was to go off, I was pretty excited. I met my brother at 5am at his apartment in Blair and then we headed to De Soto Bend to set up shop. It was very peaceful, translation we didn't even see any, but we did have a small deer hang around us for a while which is always cool to see. We packed up around 8:30 and headed back to his apartment. My brother let me use his ID to get into the Y so I could do my upper body workout while he went to class and I met him back at his apartment after I was done around 11. I had to change some stuff up because they didn't have all the machines I usually use, but it was nice for a change of pace. Normally I hit 10's on my curls all the time but the weights actually seemed unusually light so I had to up my weight for the last couple sets which is great. We hung out for a few hours and then around 3 went back out to De Soto. We set up near a cornfield hoping to find them feeding. We sat there for a 45 minutes or so and then all of the sudden about 140 yds to the East I saw something come out of the cornfield. Now were talking I thought and nudged my brother, he grabbed the binoculars and took a peek. We were so excited, turns out it was just a house cat. He came within about 10 feet of our blind to check out our decoys so we moved around a little to scare him off. We packed up around 5:45 and headed home skunked again. The great part about bow hunting is that your just out there sitting quiet and listening to nature, even if you don't get anything, its fun. At least we came home with a story. My brother said it best today, "It's like free therapy"
