Today I ate pretty healthy I ate 5 good meals and had just a small rack of ribbletts to end the day. Jon commented about my rest, and he probably is right. I am getting more rest than before I started the contest but probably not enough! So this week I am going to try to be in bed by 9:30... Well starting tomorrow I still have to cook food for tomorrow. Tomorrow begins week 4 and as I mentioned yesterday I am planning to really push it hard this week for some big first month results. Wow I am a 1/4 of the way there just realized that!

Ok so today went by too fast, and didn't start early enough. I slept in today got up around 9:30 and to the gym around 10. I decided to do a incline workout on the Treadmill today I warmed up for around 15 minutes and cooled down for about the same pretty much because I had nothing to do today except laundry and watch the Bluejays, oh, and eat. Something I didn't do enough today because I didn't plan out my meals. I only ate 4 today am disappointed that I didn't do more but lesson learned plan from now on.
I am really excited tomorrow ends the week for me and Monday will be the start of my 4th. I can't wait to take some pictures and have my body fat tested next Sunday! I am going to really work hard next week knowing I am almost 1/3 of the way through my first 12 weeks.

I got up early today and went to the gym. I have lifted on off since I was a Sophomore in High School and I think I am just starting to learn how to get the most out of each rep. In high school and before BFL I would lift as much weight as i could never focusing on lowering the weight down. I would go up and then haphazardly let the weights drop back down. This week I have really focused on a slow smooth movement up and down and have already redefined what a 10 intensity is and expect to keep redefining it every week as I progress. For instance on Curls today I finished my last set, all 12 reps and during the last rep on the way up I felt like I was literally tearing my right bicep, maybe that's a bad thing, but the point is in the past I have never gotten to that point let alone completed the rep.
It is a good thing I accomplished something early in the day because the rest of the day was probably one of the if not the laziest days I have had in a long while. I went over to my buddies house around 11:30, along with my 5 meals, and watched the Mo- Valley Tournament. We watched 4 games today one of which pitted my Bluejays against the Sycamores of Indiana State. Luckily we beat them pretty handily and it gave our starters some time to rest up for our game tomorrow vs. Missouri State. Great way to end a great day... -I'm Out

So I woke up today to a monster calf cramp in my right leg which took me a couple of minutes to work out. Maybe I didn't drink enough water yesterday. Anyway I got out of bed ready to do my work out before work. And found that we had gotten more snow than I had expected 10-12"'s. I went out to my car uncovered it and hopped inside. I couldn't get out of my stall at my Apartment complex let alone the parking lot. I went back in warmed up hoping that they would get the parking lot bladed so I could get to work. Actually I was kind of hopping they wouldn't get it done till after I had to leave for work so I couldn't go. As luck would have it one of my co-workers called around 11 and told me we were shutting down for the day, YAHTZEE! I have worked at NFM for 4 years now and this does not happen often. In fact people that have been their for 15 or more year talk about the ONE time the store closed. I didn't think there was any way I was going to get to the gym, I thought I would have to Pull a Rocky IV and work out in the snow. Luckily I made it to the gym.
I did the stair mill again today. It is starting to get a little easier (which probably means I should crank it up a notch) I can almost stay up right for the whole work out. Usually on the 8's and 9's I have to rest my arms on the handles on the side, kind of crouched over. Today I almost made it through the whole workout up right. Jon showed up just as I was finishing and wanted to talk for a while so I hopped on the Treadmill and walked with him at an incline for about 25 minutes or so. So I really got a good Cardio session in. As of this point I have yet to get my last meal in but will be eating some smoked salmon very shortly. My roommate was smoking ribs (thanks a lot Dave) so I decided to smoke my salmon for a change. Tomorrow I really want to get to the gym early so I can head over to Bryan's and watch the MVC tournament all day. That will bring new meaning to packing a lunch! I will probably bring 5 of my six meals over there.
