Day 51

Sorry I have been lacking on posts but the last couple weeks being out of town has put me out of sync, but I have been posting on bflnebraska.com so I will transfer all of them over starting with Day 51.

Tuesday kind of set my whole week out of wack. I guess it wasn't the day more like my lack of planning. I knew I had that Baseball game to go to and I though I would just go do cardio after I got home from the game. WRONG! I missed my first workout but I make up for it this week. I am pretty disappointed I let myself talk myself into a "deal." So the rest of the week I am going to have to make up for that missed workout.

Day 50

Weight-310lbs

Today went pretty well I ate well and had a great workout! I am very excited about what this week will bring. My scale weight hasn't changed much lately but I am definately seeing changes in my body fat levels so I am happy. I can't wait to take pictures this weekend and see how far I have come so far. Tomorrow will be another challenge because after work I will be going to the Creighton vs. Nebraska baseball game. I guess this will be the first time I tailgate with Myoplex instead of Bud Light! :)

Day 46,47,48,49

Weight-305lbs (day 48)

Day 46

This will probably be my longest post yet because it includes 4 days. Day 46 I went to the gym early in the morning and had a good workout on the Incline treadmill. Then I went home packed to go back home to Iowa for the weekend. I ate well that day no mishaps. On my lunch at work I had an hour so I went to Borders and picked up Eating for Life. Great book a lot of great recipes, I was a little disappointed with some of the recipes though, I already know how to make a turkey sandwich! I got to my parents around 11 ate my final meal and watched some TV then headed to bed.

Day 47

I woke up and went back to the weight room I spent many an early morning lifting while in high school. I had to modify my workout a little because they don't have all the equipment I needed but still had a really good workout it was really fun to be back in that room "pumping iron" I really wish I had the extra money to buy them some new equipment the weight room is starting to get a little dilapidated. I had a good day eating I tried two of the EFL recipes. The egg casserole which I think I will start making on a weekly basis because I can make one pan that will last me almost the whole week. I also made the barbecue chicken pita pizza, it was so good I felt like I was cheating! After my workout the rest of my day was all about hurry up and wait. The seed corn dealer was supposed to deliver some seed at 9:30 by 11 I was done waiting. So my Grandpa and I headed to a neighboring town where our grain cart was being worked on and took it from the welding shop (my fault) to the implement dealer to get turn signals put on it. The rest of the day was pretty laid back just kind of hung out.

Day 48

Saturday was my parents birthday, I started the day off with a run on the gravel roads, it was pretty sloppy but nice to go on my first run outside, in a long time and when I say long time I mean looonnngg time. I almost made it up the first hill and had to start walking up the rest of the say made it to the point where I was going to turn around and walked a little more up the hill then ran the rest of the say going back down the first hill was pretty easy so I sprinted the rest of the way to the end of our lane. I relaxed some more that day and then in the afternoon I went out to the shed and changed my oil and vacuumed out the car. Then we went to church when we got back home my grandparents were already there to celebrate my parents birthday. They were both born on the 10th my Dad is 7 hours older then my Mom. Most of the day I ate really well and I ate pretty well for during their birthday dinner but decided to have some cake and ice cream so Saturday was officially my free day. My brother, his wife, and I bought them a hammock, something my Mom has always talked about getting. I am going to have to loose another 40lbs or so to use it though weight limit is 264lbs according to the manual. I guess one more reason to loose some weight!

Day 49

I woke up this morning and packed to head back to Omaha for work at 10 am. I made it early and ate really well today, to make up for the cake on Saturday, oh and the cheese and crackers before dinner I forgot about those. It felt good to eat well today. After work I went to a buddies house to play poker I got second but blew most of my stack away to the guy who one it on one hand. Oh well, at least I got my money back. It was fun I haven't had the time to play as much as I would like, I used to play once a week. Well I thought about pulling an April Fools Joke today and posting that I had decided to quit that but April Fools day is almost over so it's a little too late to do that. I am really looking forward to week at this 4 weeks have gone by so fast it is unreal! I really think week 8 will be a very good week for me I am predicting 299lbs by Saturday!

Day 45

Weight-314lbs
Today went well overall work was so slow one hour in I was thinking only 7 hours to go. When I got home I really didn't want to do legs today, this the first time that I wasn't all that psyched about a workout. Even when I got to the gym half way through my squats I wanted to skip my super sets, but I over came all that and had a really intense workout.
After I got done at the gym I met one of my co workers at a park and to play some basketball. He has been asking me about body for life so I gave him my book and I think he will start on the program sometime shortly. I came home and ate my last meal of the day and then headed over to another co-workers house to check out the video he did for the NFM "day of celebration" he does a spoof of a popular TV show ever year with an underlining positive message. Last year it was American Idol this year is going to be 24. It was really good he is a very good video editor.

Day 44

Weight- 311lbs

I had another good day eating, everything is pretty constant on the food side which i good. Planning is key I make most of my meals the night before so there is really no way of screwing things up. After work today I went down the CU sports complex to watch Creighton take on nationally ranked Missouri. Creighton won the game with a double off the wall in the bottom of the ninth couldn't ask for a better ending. After the game I went to the gym and did my cardio my calves hated me today on the incline. This the first time they really got tight on the higher inclines but it was good to work through it all. Came home changed it up a little and had some lemon chicken pasta (whole wheat of course). I am starting to get excited to go back home this weekend. I should have plenty of time to do a little target shooting with my bow which will be nice I need to get back in the swing of things for turkey season.

Day 43

Weight-312lbs

Today went really well, I feel sooooo much better after yesterday's free day. It was way too free. Last night I had to really force my self to cook food for today. It is tough to do when your so full from tasty bad food :). Today's workout went pretty well I need to up my weights next time on my military press though I didn't really get the burn I need on them today. I need to start reigning my self in I keep speculating on next weeks weight and body rather then what I am doing today it isn't hurting me yet, but I really need to focus on each day and let everything fall into place. I understand that visualizing my final results can be motivating but I think I am getting to caught up in tomorrow.

These next two weekends will be a small challenge w/ in a challenge for me. I will be heading back home Thursday night for my parents birthday and the week after for Easter. The good thing is I will have access to the gym at my old high school. I am just going to have to make sure I bring home plenty of Myoplex and good food to stick with my eating. I am now in officially in baseball mode and will be going to the Creighton Missouri game tomorrow so that should be fun. Well I better get to bed so I can workout first thing in the morning.

Day 42

Weight-unknown

Today was very free, little celebration for the half way point. It's all business from here on out! I am really excited for the second half of my first 12 week challenge. The results have been good thus far and can't wait to see the results I can produce for the second half.
